Norris Residential Care

The Norris Residential Program provides an exceptional treatment program for clients with specific treatment needs. Each residential unit specializes in a specific treatment modality and serves up to 12 clients in each specialty program. Each unit is run using a therapuetic treatment team consisting of a Masters Level Social Worker/Case Manager, an experienced Unit Manager, and up to 7 highly trained Youth Counselors. Daily living and program activities are managed by the treatment team to provide effective, individual programming for each client. The client program involves individual, group, and family therapy, as well as family meetings, community contacts, therapuetic recreation, educational assessments and school credit recovery.
Assessment & Stabilization
A 30-day to 60- day assessment/stabilization service, offering a variety of in-depth assessments is also available.
Group Homes:
The three group homes are located on the Norris campus. Berman House and Schroeder House are each licensed to serve adolescent males ages of 13 to 18.   Berman House is our   AODA Recovery group home and Schroeder House is geared toward a strong emphasis with Independent living skills.   

Fannie Wells group home works with young men aged 13 to 18 and offers all single bedrooms along with a higher staff-client ratio.

All three Norris group homes attend the DPI certified Norris school, an added benefit for youth with adjustment difficulties.

Day School:
The Norris School District offers day school at our campus based, DPI certified Junior/Senior High School.   This is an alternative education opportunity for male EEN students experiencing behavioral and academic difficulties in their community school.   Day school services are arranged through the youth's home school district in cooperation with the Norris School. 

Outpatient Services:

Norris provides mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals and families through our licensed outpatient clinic.  Outpatient services are provided in the clinic at Norris or in the community at the home.   Group home, day school clients and families may receive services through the Norris outpatient clinic.
